Although i am not creating the virtual studio i had 1 request for chris, i wanted a tv in the hope that we could use green screen to put in a clip showing the segment coming up when Fran is talking about it. I got this idea from my research into the BBC 3 news and the scrolling tv idea they use. Myself and Danny also mentioned similarly to sky sports news we would like scrolling news across the bottom.
After our Green screen test chris showed us his initial idea for the studio and i mentioned that it made the presenter look very small and for a initial shot to welcome people to the channel it would be great but we would need to have a mid shot for most of the news in order for the audience to not feel like the presenter has shrank in the wash and connect with them better. Chris said that with this current studio that wasn't possible and he would have a go at working with it to see what he could do.
I really liked the studio he created and it incoperated a lot of our ideas and felt very modern and something our target audience would like.
When he showed us the 2nd version it had so many improvements and i was really pleased. The only change i mentioned was that instead of breaking news could be change it as we didn't actually cover any breaking news stories, danny said to change it to sports news and we all said this was perfect. Everything about the studio, the colours, the text, the graphics were very much individual to our brand and we had put a lot of thought into these things and chris had created something that was really great.
