So I've completed my first week at UCA.
On Tuesday we showed the summer projects we had made to our classmates. I hate watching my own work at the best of times let alone something that I am in and making a fool of myself. I spent the entire 3 minutes slowly sinking into my chair behind my course timetable. It didn't go down badly (I hope) and it does give a fairly accurate show of my personality and the things I enjoy doing and shows I don't take myself too seriously. I toyed with the idea of making it a bit more professional and 'arty' but at the end of the day as it was a piece about myself I don't tend to enjoy making myself look good so going down the comedy and music video route seemed the logical approach.
I really enjoyed watching the films my classmates had made as it showed the different styles they enjoy working on and films that they like. I'm looking forward to working with a few of them, hopefully, on some projects in the future.
I came away from uni feeling really inspired about ideas I have for my own pieces of work and I started brainstorming the a couple of ideas I would like to take further with my friends and family and hopefully I can work on these in my spare time and produce some very different but interesting short films.
Stay safe,
Helen
